OaknFir Creative — About

The story behind
the work.

First under the banner of Forward Thinking TV, now as OaknFir Creative — I've worked across network television, enterprise brands, and documentary film. The throughline has always been the same: get close to people, earn their trust, and find the story worth telling.

Based in the Columbia River Gorge, I've produced 140+ video projects for healthcare organizations, consumer brands, and regional enterprises across the Pacific Northwest. I'm not just delivering finished files. I'm building content that shifts perception and moves people to act.

The real work happens before the cameras roll. I spend time in pre-production getting to know the people I'm filming — understanding their world and figuring out what's genuinely worth saying. When someone feels comfortable enough to be honest on camera, that's when the best material surfaces. Those moments become the foundation of everything.

On set, I direct interviews, ask questions that surface real stories instead of rehearsed talking points, and manage the technical side so it disappears entirely. The focus stays on the person in front of the lens.

I cut my teeth in network television — starting in post production and advancing into production, working on unscripted series for Discovery, HGTV, TLC, Travel Channel, and the Weather Channel. That experience taught me how to manage complex productions under pressure and deliver consistently at scale.

As a combat veteran — Army, Operation Iraqi Freedom — I also learned how to show up prepared when it counts.

My most meaningful work has been with organizations like Adventist Health, Revant Optics, and Warfighter Made — helping them tell stories that matter. A patient describing how they got their life back. A founder explaining why they built something. A veteran organization working to prevent suicide. Those stories carry more weight than any campaign.

I've also produced documentary work including Green Dreams and The Energy of Water — projects that required deep storytelling craft and a long-term commitment to getting it right.

In a world full of noise, authentic stories cut through. They build credibility, change perception, and create real connection between organizations and the people they serve. That's the work I'm drawn to — and what OaknFir Creative is built around.
